Hello to anyone that reads this!
I hope you are well! I have PCOS and I am trying to discover which subtype I have. I was diagnosed when I was 17, then went on birth control for over 10 years. Now I am quitting birth control and want to try to heal my PCOS naturally.
I asked my dr about the test you've recommended:
"Glucose Tolerance with Insulin Assay or Glucose Tolerance Insulin Response (GTIR)"
My dr said this test does not exist to him. We have to use Labcorp.com to order any testing through and when I google "labcorp insulin resistance" I get the following results. Which would be closest to the test you recommend for discovering if I have Insulin Resistant PCOS?
1) NMR LipoProfile® With Lipids and Insulin Resistance Markers

2) Insulin

4) Diabetes Risk Index (DRI)

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Question: Reverse Insulin Resistance in 4 Easy Steps
Re: Question: Reverse Insulin Resistance in 4 Easy Steps
I've got a new book coming about insulin resistance, where I discuss testing in more detail. With that lab, the closest test would be the glucose tolerance test (https://www.labcorp.com/tests/101200/gl ... o-protocol) with insulin tested as well as glucose.
