PCOS, cold sores, and insulin sensitivity

What do all of these things have in common?? You tell me! Lol. Seriously though. I get cold sores so often right around the eventful times of the month. Sometimes I get them every two weeks. I don’t regularly ovulate. I am now basically a diabetic. I became insulin resistant at the end of my last pregnancy and it only got worse after the baby was born. I am still breastfeeding and I suspect I have high prolactin, but I really don’t know. There are no doctors around here that care to check these random hormone levels (prolactin, androgen, insulin). I was told, there is no place to go forward with those kinds of test results (it would only give ME the tools to heal myself; but if the doc can’t write a prescription, then why would you test me 😒🙄). So, I’m reaching out here hoping someone can nudge me in the right direction.

I had my fifth baby in April of 2022. I’m about 130-135lbs. 36 years old. Help!
