Inositol and spironolactone (aldactone): Useful together?

Hi Lara,
Discussing PCOS with an endocrinolgist usually leads down the path of the contraceptive pill, aldactone and lazer - especially for excess hair (hirsutism).
It is hard to find someone who can advise on using a combination of established and 'emerging' treatments for managing hirsutism - as such, I was wanting to ask if you know if Inositol as well as aldactone in-combination is ever recommended? That is: Aldactone to reduce testosterone, Inositol to help regular periods/balance hormones/reduce insulin sensitivity - without using the pill or an IUD to regulate periods.
Thanks for your thoughts.
