High homocysteine linked to early menopause

Hi everyone. I’m 48 years old and went into menopause at 41 naturally. I’m not taking any HRT but after listening to Laras podcasts I’ve started taking magnesium & taurine. My question is, would my high homocysteine levels be linked to my hormones/menopause? Thanks, Liesel

I'm not aware of any link between high homocysteine and early menopause.
41 is quite young to have entered full menopause so you may want to talk to your doctor about hormone therapy for bone health and general health.

Hi there.
Since my last post I’ve had a bone density test and the results have come back confirming I have osteoporosis.
I’m now 48 and have been in menopause for 8 years, would you still recommend I go onto a HRT?
Thanks.

Speak to your doctor, of course, but I believe you are potentially a candidate for hormone therapy.
