Hi All. I have had amenorrhea most of my life, and had been put on the pill to treat it by multiple OBGYN. Now I understand that's not a treatment.
I'm frustrated as after stopping the pill over a year ago, I went back to my OBGYN who prescribed the pill again. but I refused. So she prescribed "provera"(Medroxyprogesterone ACETATE) to see if I get a period with that. How do y'all see that a "solution"?
I should also note that all my blood work (including fsh, prolactin, thyroid) showed normal, except extremely low testosterone (<3).
I'd like to hear how to go about this...
Thanks,
Anna

Re: amenorrhea & low testosterone
See my blog post Is It PCOS or Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (Undereating)? where I talk about the progesterone challenge test and how you can use natural progesterone for that instead of Provera.
