Complicated case

Post by MamaJennie56 »

I'm a 56 yo with confirmed Indolent systemic mastocytosis. I have the c-kit mutation and positive bone marrow biopsies.(I'm on antihistamines)I had a partial hysterectomy at 40 for endometriosis. They left my right ovary. I have major depressive disorder which runs in my family and take sertraline. I have had PMS my whole life which has progressed to PMDD(where I will feel suicidal). I was recently exposed to mold and had to have mold remediation done to my home. My gyn says I'm too old to be perimenopausal because the average age of menopause is 51. Trust me, nothing about me is average. Lol) The national menopause society says 40-58 with some outliers. I don't have a uterus so we can't go by missed periods. I take bioidentical hormones, so an FSH level doesn't help. But...I know my body. I am fatigued/exhausted every single day with no energy/motivation, brain fog, trouble concentrating, memory problems, reading, etc. This is really hard for me because I used to be a surgical ICU RN. I have an endocrinologist, psychiatrist, therapist, primary care Dr, GYN, mastocytosis specialist, PMDD specialist at UNC Chapel Hill, etc. Nobody has been able to help me at all. Trying to find a functional medicine Dr with experience in all these areas, but the search page only lets you enter one focus. Telehealth is probably best. I'm ready to give up. My life has no purpose.
