Before getting a hysterectomy

I’m 38, and my Dr. is recommending a hysterectomy. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and bleed so much that I almost needed a transfusion. I’ve been on birth control now for 2 1/2 years to stop my periods and have since gained 25 lbs, gone up 3 sizes, and have more hypoglycemic episodes than ever before. I am considering the hysterectomy, but I want to find out more information before I do. Do you have any recommendations or resources, or would you recommend anyone else I could learn the pros and cons from?? What do I need to be aware of before doing this?
