Anovulation

I've had severe period pain since starting menstruation. I've only had one period where it was completely pain free -- this period came one week early, was very heavy, and was absolutely painless. I have often wondered what could have caused this and from the research, it seems like this may have been an anovulatory cycle. Dr. Briden -- I'm so curious why an anovulatory cycle would take away endometriosis pain? This would mean that our endo pain is linked to ovulation. I clearly had enough estrogen to have a heavy bleed, so I'm so curious how this changed my pain levels? I feel like there is an important thread here to unravel for endometriosis and pain responses.
