Hi, new to this forum so I’m not sure if this has been a topic before.
I am approaching 48 and up until last year my period was regular, and then everything changed and sent me into despair. I was convinced it was not peri menopause because I didn’t have hot flashes or any of the common symptoms but after seeing several gp’s and specialists they convinced me it actually was. My main symptoms/woes are:
More frequent periods
Longer (8 day periods)
Weight gain and bloating
Exhaustion/lethargy
Emotional (crying a lot for no apparent reason)
Burning sensation in my mouth
Prickly skin, sometimes shiver (rather than hot flashes?)
Does anyone else relate or is this unusual? I have read up on these symptoms and they seem to be less common but normal, but I’ve not met anyone who have just had these symptoms.
Any comments or advice appreciated, thanks
No common symptoms
Re: No common symptoms
Those are all common perimenopause symptoms. Please see my perimenopause book Hormone Repair Manual.
