Bloating and water retention HRT ch 6

Hello. I’ve started on Evorel 25 patch and Utrogestan 200mg. I’m 50 and Not had period for 9 mths. Started with big hot flashes low resilience for stress, already have low carb diet due to CFS for 2yrs. 14 days in causing bloating, nausea, fluid retention, breast tenderness. Cut patch in half to see if that helps, or is it the progesterone that causes this? The hot flashes have stopped but the weight gain and stomach bloating is making me miserable . Any thoughts please?

I think Evorel contains the progestin norethisterone, is that correct? Check the label.
Because that could be contributing.

Also, you could try a few days off the progesterone (Utrogestan) and then reintroduce it.
But, of course, speak to your doctor.
