First Period after first Cycle of Bio-Identical Progesterone

Hi Lara,

I am a 24yo with PCOS.

I just completed my first menstrual cycle using an oral Bioidentical progesterone. I used it as you have described many times - 100mg at bed time during the 2 weeks post ovulation and stopping the usage at the time of my period.

I did notice some great effects of the therapy - my breast were not sore and my sleep was amazing (best it has ever been) However I am a bit concerned with the outcome of my period.

I began spotting on cycle day 28, however I did not have a full period bleed for the next 7 days. Just spotted for 3/4 days a minimal amount of dark brown blood. - No real blood. This is unusual for me as normally I do bleed a strong red blood for 3/4 days.

Should I continue with the same dose after my next ovulation? Or adjust it.

Would love to hear from you or others on this forum.

Hi -I was prescribed 300mg progesterone by my gynecologist in hopes of it lightening my heavy periods. I am taking it now for the first time (on 8th day of taking the med) and came here to look for answers as in past day my urine is tinged a light pink. I am wondering what this means.
