Asymptomatic endometrioma

Post by Almc62 »

Hi!
After having a 5cm endometrioma found on my right ovary (no lesions found) and looking into some studies and info about endometriosis, I’m a bit confused about how I could have ended up with this larger cyst with 0 endo or gut symptoms compared to other women I know who have a smaller cyst than me and near debilitating gut and pelvic pain symptoms. I know that the pelvic pain and severity of disease are not correlated, but if it is an autoimmune/gut fueled condition, it is strange that I don’t have a single digestive-type issue or discomfort. I’ve always had very good digestion and never experienced anything like IBS or SIBO symptoms. I also had a hormone panel and everything was normal. Apparently asymptomatic endometriosis is quite common, but I only know women who have bad symptoms and find that information om asymptomatic endo is lacking. Any insights would be valuable!
