Post pill acne timeframe

Dear Lara,

I am following your recommendations for a patient who does not have PCOS, no insulin resistance. She is coming off ocp after a long time. Following all recommendations. 3 months prep on diet, zinc, anti-androgen is commencing. She had acne prior.

Two questions: Can I use indole 3 carbinol instead of DIM? Also, as post pill acne normally peaks at 6 months and sebum and androgens can take 12 months to balance out - will she be on zinc, diet and anti-androgen for 12 months? Her gut has been healed.
